Hey Roanoke,
No Kings: Vote Early has officially launched, building toward a nationwide day of action on October 17, 2026. This is the largest voter protection and turnout effort our movement has organized yet, and Indivisible has trainings ready right now for Get Out the Vote and election protection work.
This issue provides more information on local events we’ve organized in support of No Kings: Vote Early, including a Honk & Wave on Oct. 14.
Make your plan to vote now if you haven’t already (more information on that below as well), and we hope to see you at our upcoming events!

This November’s ballot is bigger than it might seem. Beyond U.S. Senate and House races and local seats, Virginians will decide three constitutional amendments covering voting rights, reproductive freedom, and marriage equality.

Early voting: NOW through October 31, find your early voting location here: https://www.elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/early-voting-office-locations/
Voter registration deadline: October 23 (register or update online at vote.elections.virginia.gov)
Mail-in ballot request deadline: October 23, learn more about how to request a ballot here: https://www.elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/absentee-voting/

The “AI Ready Roanoke” proposal that is tied to Google in Daleville and (probably) Meta at Wood Haven has sadly made it to the state level. BUT ... we still have a chance to make a difference.
Please send emails to the following people (don’t worry, they aren’t the bad guys), and tell them that Botetourt and Roanoke DO NOT WANT an AI hub or data centers in our town, paid for by our tax dollars.
Here is a possible subject line:
Please DO NOT award a grant to the “AI Ready Roanoke Project”.
